We are the mother-daughter duo, Donna [DK] & Aimee. Together we founded Like Mother Like Daughter. In all honesty, we didn’t join the blogging world because we live far apart and wanted a way to be closer…we actually live across the road from each other. Seriously, it’s rock throwing distance…

Anyways, we share so much in common when the blogging opportunity fell into our laps we said that we [have] to do this, and we [have] to do this together, and the rest is pure history.

I’m sure you are wondering what this blog is going to be about well, we mainly share our take on cooking, our trial & error on health and beauty, crafting+DIY, home projects, all while also sharing some highlights from our big-beautiful-crazy-messy lives.

Our wish is that you will find something useful here that will inspire you to get creative in your own life, and start chasing those dreams you think are just out of reach – just like us.

Here’s the scoop on me- I am a daughter, granddaughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother of 11, singer, cook, contractor, homemaker, crafter, painter, DIY’er, + I am an anointed Child of the King, & so much more. I am a lover not a fighter. I love my family more than life itself, they are my lifeline, including my fur baby, Weimy Jane. I try to turn my lemons into lemonade at all times & I don’t even like lemonade.

I am a go with the flow girl and because of this trait along I have had amazing adventures and there will be many more to come- All of which I plan on sharing with you. This is going to be a great adventure in itself. I am excited for what it holds for both me and my daughter, Aimee.

I love to learn and try new things and that is going to make for a lot of fun for all of us- so hop on our blog-wagon and let’s go with the flow!!

First and foremost- I am a wife to the most amazing person ever, Dane. Who also goes by Dane Boy, Daners, and Daddy!! He basically saved me in every single way possible…more on this later… We have been married for 4 years and could not be happier.

We are blessed with 2 drop dead gorgeous little angels, Eleanor [Ellee or Ells] & Scarlett [Scarbar], and one little surprise on the way. Just like with the other two, we did not find out what this baby is, because frankly we don’t really care whether we get another beautiful little angel or a dirty little cowboy, as long as it is healthy.

As far as animals go, we have 2 donkeys, taco and flower, 9 chickens [which I can’t stand, but our girls adore], and a precious, fat, lazy beagle named Thumper.

As for me, myself, and I…I am a very easy going person + a stay-at-home mom, that loves my family, photography, organizing, my newest hobby cooking, and pretty much anything that you can throw at me.

I hope that you enjoy our blog that we have poured our heart and soul into.
